This piece explores how memory can reverberate across different generations of people. Using generative AI, I create a chain of memories involving ten individuals born in ten different decades, starting with a centenarian, Amparo, and ending with a child, Adrià.

What would you like to remember? is the question that opens the echo, initiated by Amparo. Her answer prompts the first image. The result sparks two further memories and serves as a catalyst for the next participant’s reminiscences.

Each individual responds to the image evoked by the previous participant born in the preceding decade. The resulting pictures are dreamlike visualizations of long-gone memories.
